Mission Tasks

Supervises the execution of works within the assigned discipline and/or category in compliance with the requirements of technical documents, established time and cost limits, security and quality procedures and regulations. Is assisted by assistants and specialists (even suppliers) and also team foremen for direct construction and assembly activities and contractors for subcontracted works.

 

Professional Skills

1) Ensures that the various site activities (preliminary preparation, construction, prefabrication, assemblies, lifting, assembly and testing etc.) are carried out in compliance with good site practices and within the scheduled times; is responsible for personally supervising the execution of critical operations. 2) Arranges for inspection activities of completed or new works, in accordance with the representative of the client 3) Compiles the operative control sheets for the assigned discipline of competence, revises said sheets on a weekly basis and communicates any notices once a month to the Works Accounting Assistant, Site Project Control Co-ordinator and Set-up personnel near completion of assembly. 4) Analyses the flow of direct incoming materials for the assigned assembly over the short-medium term period, comparing the findings with the scheduled program and, in the case of variation forecasts, rescheduling works in such a way as to minimise any negative impact on times and costs. 5) Makes sure that the effective operating capacity of manpower and/or subcontractors is commensurate with the extent of works assigned; identifying any critical areas and implementing the necessary action to overcome said critical phases in good time. 6) Manages subcontract agreements of competence, by methodically conserving copies of transmittals, meeting reports, progresses reports and verbal reports which may be required in the event of a dispute. 7) Carries out and approves sample tests on construction materials and gathers the relative certification. Mission Tasks

Organises, co-ordinates and controls the correct performance of the construction and assembly work, even of high complexity, assisting the construction manager in the management for correct performance and monitoring of the project, identify and notify to the management any disputes, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.

 

Professional Skills

1) Carries out the work in the planned times and costs 2) Applies the final, procedures approved by the client 3) Ensures observance of the project specifications 4) Ensures that safety and quality standards are respected 5) Prepares and co-ordinates the detailed programmes for the correct management of the works of one’s specific responsibility 6) Helps solving technical and management problems encountered in the area of responsibility in accordance with the established operating programmes, arranges for the correct and cost-effective performance of mechanical construction and assembly work, coordinating and controlling the activities performed by the dependent teams 7) Manages the technical and administrative documentation of expendable and assembly material 8) Manages direct and sub-contracted work 9) Manages human and technical resources, indicating any needs and surplus in good time (to apply for direct construction) 10) Gives all information regarding the progress of the work indicating the cause of deviations between the programme and the work carried out and proposes solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems 11) Ensures that production quality and quantity standards are observed 12) Ensures that safety standards are observed and guarantee the quality of the work 13) Assists with the hand-over of completed works 14) Measure the works carried out with the Works Director and sub-contractors’ representatives 15)Supply the elements needed to draw up the accounts 16) Assist with the demob of the site (shipment of material and equipment, solution of any outstanding questions)

 
 

Tank Construction Manager

 

Mission Tasks

He manages and superintends site activities regarding construction , pre-commissioning , start-up and handing over of the plant to the Client, so as to satisfy the contractual obligations and targets fixed by the Project Manager . He manages also the construction works carried out by the Contractors, ensuring that the time, cost, quality, safety and environmental requirements of construction activities are meet.

 

Professional Skills

1) Representing Saipem at site and conferring with Client and local authorities for all site related activities and problems 2) Approving the HSE procedures for Construction and commissioning, ensuring their implementation 3) Ensuring the planning, scheduling, and feasibility, availing himself of the expertise of site organization key positions. 4) Ensuring the application and, where not already arranged in the planning phase, the issue of suitable procedures for the definition of working methods and site regulations 5) Ensuring the implementation of the Site Quality Control Plan 6) Checking that he procedures defined for site activities are applied. 7) Ensuring site logistics, also by purchasing the materials and services necessary for efficient site operation, within the limits of the assigned power and in accordance with Company procedures 8) Ensuring compliance with the local laws and regulations. 9) Checking construction progress on a weekly basis, identifying any problem areas and requesting the Contractor involved to take action, where required 10) Ensuring the preparation of work progress reports 11) Ensuring the achievement of the mechanical completion objective 12) Ensuring the management of pre-commissioning activities, availing himself of support from Commercial. 13) Ensuring the issue of the Certificates of Completion required by contract 14) Ensuring the issue of the plant taking-over certificate
