Mission Tasks

Coordinating and optimizing NDT activities of the Fabrication Yards through all its phases in order to achieve targets, quality and productivity.

 

Professional Skills

1) Supervises and coordinates the NDT activities of projects for the area of competence, including inspection schedule and collection of NDT Reports. 2) Ensures that the tests, controls and inspections are carried out according to reference documentation and prepares detailed NDT procedures to achieve maximum productivity in accordance with client and quality requirements. 3) Supervises subcontracted activities by reviewing subcontractor’s tender documents and technical qualifications and according to the seniority, assisting QHSE Departments in dealing with subcontractors for contractual aspects and carrying out audits on subcontractors. 4) Perfoms budgeting and verification of NDT documentation. 5) Manages the NDT team by allocating personnel on projects or site activities, evaluating qualifications and managing planning, training and recruiting of NDT personnel 6) Assists research and development programs identifing opportunities for optimization and promoting improvement in NDT Technology. Provides answer and advises on all NDT matters as required by projects. 7) Deals with Third Parties, Quality Control Manager and Supervisors on site for what concerns NDT matters. 8) Prepares and optimizes the quipment. Verifies availability of spare parts on site, replacing components if necessary and managing instruments calibration and certifications. 10) Checks daily, and prior to start the on site work, that environmental conditions are adequate; otherwise promote measures to protect the work in accordance with all applicable safety stadards.

 
 

QC NDT Technician

 

Mission Tasks

Organise NDT work site operations, in compliance with approved specifications/operative procedures, ensuring Quality Control activities and compliance with quality and safety procedures.

 

Professional Skills

1) Organizes the NDT operations. 2) Liaises with the welding technician/foreman in order to identify the causes of welding defects. 3) Checks calibration of measurement instruments and related certifications. 4) Issues the required Quality Records and sends any non-conformity reports to the QC Supervisor. 5) Controls of storage and certification of consumables. 6) Provides for the maintenance of equipment and training of NDT personnel. 7) Carries out specific inspections on material and equipment. 8) Prepares NDT procedures for assigned project. 9) Audits NDT subcontractors. 10) Applies and has protection measures applied, according to the instructions of the Qualified Expert, while activities with potential risks of ionizing radiation are carried out, and following local or national or international safety precautions.
