Drilling Maintenance Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

To guarantee, in compliance with company and local safety standards, the soundness and performance of machines, plants, facilities and equipment used by the group during drilling operations, and allocated to the relevant geographical area, ensuring prompt and thorough logistic assistance to operating units, according to the pre-established programs or projects requested by the customer for the fulfilment of contractual relations.

 

Professional Skills

To ensure for drilling equipment and facilities: 1) the implementation of preventive maintenance programs; 2) the implementation of special maintenance and control of technical results; 3) arrangements for handling operations or long-term storage; 4) the notification of obsolete equipment, with request for relevant elimination from assets; 5) the checking of expense forecasts for maintenance activities and facility renewal; 6) the collection and entry of data necessary to update the facility and equipment management archive; 7) on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, prompt notification of spare part requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands; 8) that the quality of machine, equipment or plant maintenance operations, including those carried out by third parties, is in line with reference standards; 9) the updating of data concerning the certification of machines and equipment, by making arrangements to check current validity of said certification; 10) the traceability of required certification, according to the area of use, with arrangements to check current validity of said certification; 11) co-ordination of maintenance personnel, proposing technical improvements according to the characteristics of said co-ordination; 12) the maintenance of relations with inspection and technical qualification organisations in reference to the area of responsibility; 13) enactment of alert safety bulletins, non-conformance reports and failure reports, by actuation of relevant activities; 14) co-ordination of repair activities in the event of serious damage to plants or facilities operating in the geographical area of responsibility; 15) collaboration in modification to plants and equipment to ensure operating capacity of the same; 16) on the basis of data received, the proposal of the modification to preventive maintenance schedules.

 
 

Electronic Equipment Maintenance Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

To ensure maintenance of electronic equipments through the co-ordination of maintenance teams, guaranteeing full compliance with schedules, costs, quality and safety standards.

 

Professional Skills

To ensure for on-board electronic equipment: 1) the implementation of preventive maintenance programs; 2) the implementation of special maintenance and control of technical results; 3) the notification of obsolete equipment, with request for relevant elimination from assets; 4) the checking of expense estimates for maintenance activities and facility renewal; 5) the collection and entry of data necessary to update the facility and equipment management archive; 6) on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, prompt notification of spare part; 7) requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands; 8) compliance of maintenance quality to reference standards; 9) upkeep of certification and equipment servicing;

 
 

Instrumental Maintenance Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

To ensure maintenance of control systems equipment on board the FPSO, in liason with maintenance teams and , in compliance with schedules, costs, quality and safety standards.

 

Professional Skills

To ensure, in regard of control systems equipment: 1) the implementation of preventive maintenance programs 2) the implementation of special maintenance, and monitoring of technical results 3) the notification of obsolete equipment, by requesting the relevant elimination from assets 4) the checking of estimated expense for maintenance activities and facility upgrade/renewal. 5) He has to be aware of the financial aspects of the Maintenance of DCS system and give guidance to optimise the budget. 6) the collection and the entry of data necessary for updating the facility and equipment management archive 7) prompt notification of spare parts needed onboard, on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, . He has to be responsible for identifying and maintaining minimum stock levels of spares and consumables in own area of responsibility 8)provide requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands 9) compliance of maintenance quality to reference standards 10) upkeep of certification and equipment servicing 11)To provide assistance to the CCR on DCS operations. To ensure that DCS Operating Procedures are adhered to.12)To establish an accurate history of the work undertaken, and to provide record of it in the maintenance database. 12) Clear reporting of deficiencies and malfunctions to the E&I Supervisor. Discuss and analyse technical and spares issues with the E&I Supervisor. Propose solutions related to eventual bottlenecks, deficiencies, non conformities to E&I Supervisor and directly to the Maintenance Superintendent when required. 13) To assist in the commissioning of new plant and DCS configuration. 14) To liaise via unit reporting structure with SAIPEM and DCS Service provider. Maintain a close working relationship with the DCS provider and if necessary suggest different alternative to his direct responsible/ line management. 15) Supervise closely Vendor Services on board. Prepare, follow and close out the visits with proper reports to the E/I Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent and OIM . 16) To provide instrumentation and control assistance as and when required to the E/I department on all areas of the unit’s systems.

 
 

Mechanic Hydraulic Equipment Maintenance Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

To ensure maintenance of mechanic/hydraulic equipments through the co-ordination of maintenance teams, guaranteeing full compliance with schedules, costs, quality and safety standards.

 

Professional Skills

1) Ensure for the equipment and units of responsibility : a. Definitions of the programs of use / stand-by; b. Preparation of reports highlighting needs for investments / disinvestments, arranging, in line with directives received, the proposals for alienation; c. Collection and entry of information to update the database of the equipment and units; d. Coordination of the repairs in case of serious breakdown; e. The coordination / supervision of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance to guarantee the availability of the units; f. The availability of data / info necessary to prepare the technical proposal in support to the commercial activity of the Business Units; 2) Provide the data and information necessary for the preparation of the budgets of maintenance and investments; 3) Collaborate with the technical units in the definition of new-design facilities and equipment to ensure the preparation of the relevant standards; 4) Prepare estimatations and specifications for the purchase of materials and carry-out works in compliance with practices and in collaboration with safety officers, marine authorities and bodies responsible for the issue of authorizations and special permits;

 
 

Naval Maintenance Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

To ensure full technical efficiency of marine facilities, in accordance with class and international rules and standard and with the offshore operations; to coordinate maintenance team guaranteeing, in compliance with schedule, cost quality and safety standard of marine spread.

 

Professional Skills

1) Ensure for the equipment and units of responsibility : a. Definitions of the programs of use / stand-by; b. Preparation of reports highlighting needs for investments / disinvestments, arranging, in line with directives received, the proposals for alienation; c. Collection and entry of information to update the database of the equipment and units d. Coordination of the repairs in case of serious breakdown; e. The coordination / supervision of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance to guarantee the availability of the units; f. The technical support to the vessel management for the implementation of the maintenance and the corrective actions to be implemented to solve the daily technical problems, within the assigned budgets; g. The technical support to the vessel management for the optimization of the spare parts; h. The availability of data / info necessary to prepare the technical proposal in support to the commercial activity of the Business Units; i. The required bureaucratic proceedings to obtain and renew the certifications of the naval units and specific equipment; 2) Provide the data and information necessary for the preparation of the budgets of maintenance and investments; 3) Collaborate with the technical units in the definition of new-design facilities and equipment to ensure the preparation of the relevant standards; 4) Prepare estimatations and specifications for the purchase of materials and carry-out works in compliance with practices and in collaboration with safety officers, marine authorities and bodies responsible for the issue of authorizations and special permits; 5) Carry-out on board visits and audits for inspection and co-ordination with persons in charge of routine and special maintenance activities also supporting in the audits requested according with ISM and ISPS certifications; 6) Liaise with Certification Societies and International Bodies;
