Civil Works Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Specialist Leader, related with design, verification or study activities. Interface with other Project Specilaists and Designers. Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside the Company. Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Specialist Leader, related with design, verification or study activities. Professional Skills

1) Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements. 2) Maintains project technical files 3) Controls of subcontracted civil engineering documents inside or outside SAIPEM group. 4) Sets up and executes assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Discipline, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimisation in term of costs, fabrication simplicity and safety. 5) Prepares design specifications for reinforced concrete, buildings,earhworks,roads and underground networks,piling works and soil improvement. 6) Develops calculation notes for reinforced concrete, piling works and storm water collection systems 7) Develops functional layout of buildings. 8) Prepares material spec.'s and architectural design for buildings. 9) Develops drainwaters and sewage system lay-outs. 10) Develosp studies for foundations and concrete structures. 11) Prepares MTOs and BOQs . 12) Prepares S.O.W. and technical specification for civil construction subcontracts. 13) Prepares technical documentation for civil material requisition and assists the procurement dept. in the technical evaluations. 14) Supervises/Approves civil structure design, constructive dwgs of buildings, plot plans and foundation dwgs. 15) Implements discipline follow-up activities. 16) Implements field engineering activities.

 
 

Civil Works Lead

 

Mission Tasks

Plan, co-ordinate,execute and control the civil engineering activities for a project or a tender in accordance with project/client requirements, and optimize selection and usage of internal & external resources, improving efficiency, flexibility & quality.

 

Professional Skills

1) Defines the civil list of activities, list of deliverables and their dates of issue in accordance with contract requirements and time schedule 2) Issues the civil design philosophies and update applicable general specifications 3) Prepares and performs the civil design review 4) Attends interdiscipline design reviews and coordination meetings 5) Manages and is the technical reference for civil works engineers, designers and draftmen 6) Controsl and signs all civil deliverables 7) Controls and manages subcontracted activites inside or outside Saipem group 8) Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements, the contractual obligations and Saipem HSE comittments 9) Takes any corrective action within civil group necessary for this purpose 10) Reports to project PEM and to civil head of department whenever required 11) Controls and reports civil design activities progress 12) Calculates and monitors performance indicators 13) Co-ordinates with other discipline specialists and obtains input necessary to perform the civil design 14) Takes care of any modification of contract scope and issues trend notices when necessary 15) Issues the REX(feedback dossier) at the end of project engineering phase

 
 

Soil Mechanics Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

Develops an optimised design for soil foundation systems in conformity with the SAIPEM group quality standards requirements. Plays interface with other Project Specialists and Designers. Co-ordinates technical activities performed inside or outside the Company. Develops the design budget and the associated schedule for proposals and execution of projects. Liaises with project engineering and construction teams to assess geotechnical risks Participates to clarification meetings with the Client for proposals and execution of projects. Prepares and follow-up subcontracts associated to the design of soil foundations system. Develops the REX of geotechnical design.

 

Professional Skills

1) Reviews the Client’s technical documentation and requirements 2) Is responsible for the development of design of all soil foundation systems within attributed projects 3) Is responsible for quality, budget and respect of time schedule for all attributed soil foundation projects 4) Maintains project technical files and update SAIPEM standards 5) Controls attributed sub-contracted discipline engineering documents 6) Controls all in-house documents issued by geotechnical engineers and draughtsmen 7) Validates and issues project geotechnical specifications, requisitions and schedule of rates 8) Issues the technical bid tabulation for all geotechnical calls for tender 9) Issues the REX document after geotechnical contract is completed

 
 

Steel Works Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

Perform technical tasks assigned by steel works Leader, related with design, verification or study activities for all steel structures. Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers. Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside the Company.

1) Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements. 2) Maintains project technical files. 3) Controls subcontracted discipline engineering documents. 4) Sets up and executes assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Discipline, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimisation in term of costs, fabrication simplicity and safety. 5) Prepares design specifications. 6) Develops studies and calculation notes for steel structures and structural steel buildings. 7) Prepares MTO and BOQ. 8) Prepares S.O.W. and technical specification for steel structure sub contract. 9) Prepares technical documentation for steel structure material requisition and assists the procurement dept. in the technical evaluations. 10) Controls manufacturer 's shop drawings and connection calculation notes and details. 11) Supervises/Approves steell structure drawings issued by designers and draftmen. 12) Implements discipline follow-up activities. 13) Implements field engineering activities.

Plan, co-ordinate and control the development of Steel Works Engineering for a Project activities performed inside or outside the Company in accordance with project/client requirements. Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in-out information flow.
