Mission Tasks

Manage integrated activities related to health, safety, the environment and sustainability, ensuring management economics, improvement in quality standards and technological and methodological innovation. Ensure that knowledge is disseminated and acquired by all personnel, defining conduct in line with Company policies. Ensure that management system conform to certification standards and Company policies. Manage obligations relating to health, safaty and the environment for activities performed. Conduct internal health / environmental / safety or integrated HSE audits.

1. Supports the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue. 2. Supports the Top Management in the Organisation roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects. 3. Supports the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue. 4. Ensures, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems. 5. Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives. 6. Provides for motivation and familiarisation of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided. 7. Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work. 8. Conducts safety audits both internal and external. 9. Takes part in accident / incident investigation. 10. Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans. 11. Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects. 12. Carries out any in-house safety training. 13. Carries out safety audits on Sub-contractors. 14. Liaises between Clients on safety related issues. 15. Safeties related engineering input into new projects and modification programmes. 16. Participates to HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities. 17. Performs Risk Assessment. 18. Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders. 19. Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities. Project HSE Management

 

Mission Tasks

Monitor plant and site HSE aspects during the design and operational stages. Define criteria and references for developing HSE project plans and for undertaking specific studies and global analysis evaluating plant performance in normal operating and upset conditions. Interface with Clients and control authorities.

 

Professional Skills

1. Ensures that all construction activities carried out by the Saipem are conducted in strict accordance with Saipem HSE Standards and with the requirements/specifications of the Project. 2. Develops and ensure the implementation of the HSE Management System in compliance with ISO 14000 series. 3. Formulates HSEl Plans and Procedures for all types of the operations as for the Clients Requirements and Local HSE Legislation. 4. Ensures the implementation and compliance with the HSE plans and procedures. 5. Defines HSE strategies for the entire project and review the design studied from an HSE point of view 6. Acts as HSE focal point for the work and to develop an emergency response plan in the event of any HSE incident. 7. Establishes an HSE monitoring and audit program applicable to all phases of the operations. 8. Identifies and report all non-compliance’s and follow up actions. 9. Promotes HSE awareness amongst the workforce and to hold regular site meetings with supervisors, workers, sub contractors etc on HSE matters relevant to the project. 10. Conducts pre construction survey, identify HSE sensitive areas and design mitigation measures. 11. Finds out Archaeological significant areas by conducting surface survey and sampling of visible sites for ceramic scatters, rock arts or building remains. 12. Ensures protection/safeguard to archaeological sites. 13. Ensures protection of the Sensitive areas. 14. Prepares spill contingency plan and monitor implementation. 15. Develops Waste/Chemical/Water Management Plan, obtain relevant permits from authorities and monitor implementation. 16. Ensures compliance with noise regulations requirements. 17. Ensures and monitor protection of air quality within the project activities. Typical job positions belonging to this Job code are the Project HSE Manager and Project HSE Engineer.
