Assistant Marine Operation Superintendent

 

Mission Tasks

To co-ordinate work and manpower on site for the assigned shift in compliance with project specifications in order to ensure efficient performance, minimise costs and meet established deadlines, respecting HSE and quality procedures and practices.

 

Professional Skills

To assist Marine Operations Superintendent in interdisciplinary co-ordination of all works on site. To supervise Team Foremen for the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work. 1. Co-ordinating Program Schedules for works carried out directly and works handled by subcontractors, solving contingent problems on site, optimising the use of materials, work teams and available equipment, and ensuring the correct upkeep of equipment and assets used. 2. Solving co-ordination, priority and interface problems between the different work categories within the specified area, while respecting the wider interests of the project. 3. Monitoring Team Foremen to ensure the correct implementation of construction activities in compliance with quality standards/requirements and safety standards.

 
 

Construction Supervisor

 

Mission Tasks

Supervise the pipe coatings and other sub-contracted activities at the subcontractors’ sites, representing the interests of Saipem and ensuring that the work is carried out in observance with contractual terms and conditions and quality and safety standards.

 

Professional Skills

Representing Saipem and interfacing directly with the Construction Manager or in his absence directly with the Project Manager Manage the sub-contract from the technical and economic point of view - Ensure that the technical specifications, contractual procedures and times are observed; - Approve the work progress of the sub-contractor for invoicing purposes; - Manage and approve any extra-work of the sub-contractor; - Ensure that safety and quality standards are observed over time.

Monitoring Works Assistants to ensure their correct supervision of subcontracted works, material orders and specialist supplier services in compliance with established program, progress and costs objectives, as part of a wider objective to optimise manpower. 4. Monitoring Works Assistants to ensure the correct implementation of construction activities in compliance with quality standards/requirements and safety standards. 5. Assisting the Construction Manager in the solution of technical and management problems within the assigned area. 6. Assisting in the preparation of periodical reports and supervising the correct implementation of procedures designed to collect work performance control data. 7. Managing relations with Client on site.
