Area Superintendent Plant

 

Mission Tasks

Organises and implements works on site, including coordination and supervision; ensures efficient levels of performance, minimises costs and meets established deadlines, projects specifications, ensuring the respect of HSE and quality procedures and practices.

 

Professional Skills

1) Supports the construction manager in the definition of the execution strategy 2) Co-ordinates all interdisciplinary field works on a site, supervising the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work. 3) Co-ordinates General and Detail Programs for work carried out directly and works handled by subcontractors, solving contingent problems on site and optimising the use of materials, work teams and available equipment. 4) Solves co-ordination, priority and interface problems between the different work categories, in compliance with the wider interest of whole site. 5) Monitos Area Superintendents to ensure their correct supervision of subcontracted works, material orders and specialist suppliers services in compliance with established program, progress and costs objectives, as part of a wider objective to optimise manpower. 6) Monitors Area Superintendents to ensure the correct implementation of construction activities in compliance with quality standards and requirements. 7) Assists the Site Project ControlEngineer with the preparation of periodical reports, and supervises the correct implementation of procedures designed to collect work performance control data. 8) Ensues the observance of security regulations in force on the site. 9) Interfaces the Client with regards to technical aspects which lie within his province.

 
 

Civil works assistant

 

Mission Tasks

To supervise the execution of works (in compliance with project specifications, times and costs) within the assigned discipline and/or category, with the aid of assistants and specialists (even suppliers); direct foremen for construction and assembly activities and contractors for subcontracted works. Ensures the application of security and quality standards and requirements.

 

Professional Skills

Responsible for the following functions: 1) Ensures that the various site activities (preliminary preparation, construction, prefabrication, assemblies, etc.) are carried out in compliance with project specifications, security and quality standards and within the scheduled times ; responsible for personally supervising the execution of critical operations. 2) Compiles the operative control sheets for the assigned discipline of competence, revises said sheets on a weekly basis and communicates any notices once a month to the Works Accounting Assistant, Site Project Control Co-ordinator. 3) Analyses the flow of direct incoming materials for the assigned assembly over the short-medium term period, comparing the findings with the scheduled program and, in the case of variation forecasts, reschedules works in such a way as to minimise any negative impact on times and costs. 4) Makes sure that the effective operating capacity of manpower and/or subcontractors is commensurate with the extent of works assigned; identifies any critical areas and implements the necessary action to overcome said critical phases in good time. 5) Manages subcontract agreements, by methodically conserving copies of transmittals, meeting reports, progresses reports and verbal reports which may be required in the event of a dispute. 6) Carries out and approves sample tests on construction materials and gathers the relative certification.

Mission Tasks

Organises, co-ordinates and controls the correct performance of the civil works, even of high complexity, providing assistance and support in the management of the correct performance of the project and in the definition of any disputes, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.

1) Carries out the work in the planned times and costs 2) Applies the final, procedures approved by the client 3) Ensures observance of the project specifications 4) Ensures that safety and quality standards are respected 5) Prepares and co-ordinates the detailed programmes for the correct management of the works of one’s specific responsibility 6) Helps solving technical and management problems encountered in the area of responsibility 7) In accordance with the established operating programmes, arranges for the correct and costeffective performance of civil construction works, coordinating and controlling the activities performed by the dependent teams and \ or subcontractors 8) Manages the technical and administrative documentation 9) Manages direct and sub-contracted work 10) Manages human and technical resources, indicating any needs and surplus in good time 11) Gives all information regarding the progress of the work indicating the cause of deviations between the programme and the work carried out and proposes solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems 12) Ensures that production quality and quantity standards are observed 13) Ensures that safety standards are observed and guarantee the quality of the work 14) Assists with the hand-over of completed works 15) Measures the works carried out with the Works Director and sub-contractors’ representatives 16) Supplies the elements needed to draw up the accounts 17) Assists with the demob of the site (shipment of material and equipment, solution of any outstanding questions)

Organises, co-ordinates and controls the correct installation of the electrical devices and instruments needed to make the process plants operational, assisting and supporting the start up stages and the elimination of any anomalies, ensuring full compliance with operating conditions and safety and quality procedures and standards.

 

Professional Skills

1) Co-ordinates and controls the work carried out by the teams and company officers 2) Makes check calculations of the voltages allowed on the lines 3) Prepares diagrams and descriptions of the ELE/SMI systems 4) Co-operates in the start up of the plants 5) Supplies technical data for the preparation of operating manuals to be supplied to the client 6) Observes set operating programmes 7) Applies safety and quality standards 8) Makes measurements of the unit assembled in order to draw up the accounts and keeps the progress of the work under control in accordance with the programme 9) Keeps the technical file of the activities underway (drawings, specifications etc.) up-to-date 10) Notifies the superior of any delays in deliveries which could jeopardise the assembly programme 11) Ensures that safety laws and standards are observed 12) Solves problems regarding the ELE/SMI installations along with the Client’s representative and/or sub-contractors 13) Takes part in the final inspection and plant start-up activities 14) Knowledgeable (supervision level) in loop test activity.

Receives, from the superior, the technical documents distributed to the team leaders, providing all explanations on how the work is to be performed 8) Controls materials, ensures supplies to dependent teams to guarantee maintenance of production quality and quantity standards, communicating the difficulties encountered in the work and requesting instructions to solve the problems 9) Arranges for inspection activities and the pre-delivery of completed works. Assists the superior in final inspection activities and hand-over of the works 10) Gives the superior the work progress report and all other data needed to draw up the accounts 11) Ensures that safety laws and measures are observed 12) Arranges for the problems regarding the progress of the work of his responsibility to be solved along with the client’s representatives and/or Sub-contractors.
