Construction Manager Onshore

 

Mission Tasks

Manages the assigned project construction activities and all assigned site activities, in compliance with objectives assigned in terms of quality, terms and costs ensuring the respect of HSE and quality regulations.

 

Professional Skills

1. Prepares and implements the work execution plan and budget as relevant to the construction activities together with Project Manager Onshore, Onshore Engineer and Project Control Engineer. 2. Manages and coordinates construction activities. Interface as required with other Project teams including design, procurement, logistics, HR, Project Control. 3. Liaises directly with the customer, partners of an RTI consortium or joint venture (J/V), local bodies and authorities, acting as site company representative. 4. Supervises sub-contracted construction and assembly works and in particular, monitor the reliability of local companies. 5. Checks the availability of local construction materials and labour and inform the PM, Purchasing and Personnel functions accordingly; familiarize with local requirements governing the employment of labour and monitor, where applicable, the professional training of local personnel. 6. Issues periodical reports on the state of works, customer relations, the state of direct labour, suppliers and subcontractors, as well as critical states and progress forecasts for site activities. 7. Monitors the progress of construction works through the weekly review meeting. 8. Monitors the quality and security of work, availability of assets and equipment and the performance of direct labour and subcontractors. Monitor the state of progress and compliance with deadlines. In collaboration with the Project Manager, identify and implement the corrective actions required to contain any deviations from the budget. 9. Ensures that any extra costs incurred for defective supplies identified during assembly are duly debited. Handle any dispute or claim with partners, suppliers, contractors and insurance companies on behalf of the party to which payment is owing. 10. Checks job account to the Client, to as-built suppliers and sub-contractors. Check the project cash-flow, as regards to the site. 11. Monitors and contains current expenditure for the site’s operation and obtain advance approval for incidental costs. 12. Monitors functional tests and delivery to the customer, complete with the required certification. 13. Supervises the demobilisation, withdrawal from and closure of the sites on fulfilment of contractual obligations in relation to the progress of works. 14. Is responsible for the planning, organization, and management of all activities on the plant construction site.

 
 

Onshore Operations Manager

 

Mission Tasks

Co-ordinates the execution of projects within the specified area of competence, ensuring Company economic and strategic results and the observance of HSE and Quality procedures and practices.

 

Professional Skills

1. Maintains relationship with clients and other companies operating in the area he's in charge of (of competence). 2. Collaborates with the Commercial Function during the estimeting, tendering and budgeting phase and require assistance from Commercial Department during construction for contract interpretation. 3. Draws up the projects’ programs and operating budgets within the specified area of competence and identify human resources and equipment requirements. Defines the times and costs required for fulfilment of established objectives. 4. Co-ordinates project execution activities and constantly monitor economic-operative progress by analysing any deviations from the program and implementing the necessary corrective action. 5. Acts as contact point between the company and the client. 6. Notifies of investments and/or disinvestments required for work programs. 7. Ensures the correct use of assigned technical resources and implement the appropriate handling procedures in collaboration with the relative Company Unit. 8. Maintains good relations with the customer during the course of works, prepares project completion report with all significant datas for future use of Company Units. 9.Ensures the preparation of project completion reports with all required datas for future use of Company Units. 10. Proposes to the BU Manager the candidate Project Managers for acquired projects.

Mission Tasks

Plans, co-ordinates and controls the execution of allocated projects; ensures completion in accordance with Client requirements and objectives, within time and cost constraints; achieve profit objectives ensuring the observance of HSE and Quality procedures and practices.

 

Professional Skills

implement coordination of the project activities; act as the single point of contact with the Company; be the focal point for all project activities, resolve all issues related to the execution of the Project. 2. Is the focal point for all project activities including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning (as applicable) and retains the final responsibility for the execution of the Project. He represents the Company towards the Client and resolves all issues related to the implementation of the Project activities. 3. Acts as the single point of contact with the Client and ensures positive relations are maintained with Client Representatives within the Contract obligations. 4. Performs an in depth review of the contract, the tender and bid documents. The Project Manager and his team look in depth at the contract's elements, understand the Scope of Work and endorse the CLIENT's needs and objectives, assimilating what has been defined in the commercial phase. 5. Puts in place the project team and structure by defining and implementing, in cooperation with the pertinent key personnel, the Project Organization Chart, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and the project Execution Plan (PEP). 6. The PM maintains close links with the partners of a consortium or joint venture (J/V). 7. Proposes the make-up of the Project Team and issue, in the project initial phase, the co-ordination procedure, even if only partial. 8. Ensures the development and the revision of the Project Execution Plan, monitor the progress of the project phases, in accordance with the scheduled times and the cost and quality estimates and objectives. 9. Establishes, with the Project Control Manager, a budget; monitor the costs against the budget, identify and implement remedial actions in case of overrun; report to the area \ corporate the results on regular base. 10. Ensures the correct allocation of the resources necessary for carrying on and completing the project. 11. Is the only Company representative in dealings with the Client and ensure that good relations are kept with the Client’s representatives, in observance of contractual obligations. 13. Ensures that the level of performance is in accordance with the Contract specifications, that the costs fall within the estimate limits, and that the execution time of the project phases progress as set down in the contract. 16. Keeps the appropriate communications with the Area Manager and the connections with the Units concerned in order to ensure an efficient project management. 17. Makes the critical revision of the contract. Ask, if necessary, for the assistance of the Commercial Unit to solve all disputes or to interpret the contract itself. Ensures that all aspects of the project are in accordance with the Client’s specifications and the company procedures and policies. 18. Ensures the preparation, implementation, and updating of the project Quality Plan and ensure that all project members are familiar with its contents. 19. Defines and organizes the utilization of the human resources, machinery, materials, Contractors, and anything else, plans the necessary procedures for the execution of the project. 20. Manages all contract negotiations with the Client, including additional work and variations. Carry out monitoring and produces reports on the project’s general performance. 21. Collaborates closely with the Managers of the administrative and financial Units for a regular updating of the state of the Client’s payments; indicates the most important contract deadlines and identifies the events that may cause delays in the payments. 22. Undertakes any necessary actions with the Client with regard to payments in the event of disputes or anomalous delays. 23. Co-ordinates the requests for the construction activities with the Construction Manager and the Area Manager. 24. Starts up and co-ordinates the monthly invoicing activity. 25. Implements the award and eventual management of the Subcontractors during all the project phases in order to ensure the conformity of the work with the contract specifications. 26. Works toward the technical close-out of the project in observance of the co-ordination requirements connected with the work progress. 27. Assists the Client during the warranty period. 28. Produces a project close-out report containing all significant information for future use by the company units concerned.
