Mission Tasks

Execute the inspection and Quality Control activities on site, collecting the relevant objective proofs and ensure supervision of quality control activities on construction and erection works.

 

Professional Skills

Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site. 2. Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports. 3. Checks the preparation of foundations. 4. Checks the correct preparation of reinforcements. 5. Checks the certifications regarding element mixes. LASTM test, chemical analysis, grain size analysis. 6. Monitors atmospheric conditions during pouring operations. 7. Monitors correct curing operations. 8. Checks the sampling operations (when required). 9. Reviews the laboratory examination results. 10. Execute the Dimensional inspection and Quality Control activities on site, in order to guarantee the partial and overall dimensioal compliance of the fabricated structures

 

Professional Skills

1. Executes the dimensiona / topographic inspections during alll phases of the process of construction / erection activities on site. following relevant specified procedures. 2. Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports. 3. Control of proper calibration of all measuring equipment. 4. Control and perform all measurements during mark- out and fit up 5. Checks and perform all measurements during welding 6. Checks and perform all measurements after welding ( and PWHT if any) . 7. Checks and prepare the "as built" dimensional dossier relevant to final assembly bin line with specified project requirements. 10. 1. Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipments and construction/installation activities on site. 2. Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports. 3. Controls equipment installation, alignment and levelling 4. Performs functional checks and mechanical completion checks (Pressure and atmospheric vessel) 5. Traies inspection (dimensional check, water tightness test). 6. Checks of level ness, position, orientation, anchor bolts, conduits, etc. of tanks foundation 7. Performs hydrostatic test of tank and measurement of pad settlement. 8. Storages tank internal inspection. 9. Performs punch-listing operations. 10. Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications. 11. Cooperates in Event Report Management and for all the implementation of relative corrective actions. 12. Manages collaboration of measurement instruments and related certifications. 13. Vessel QA/QC Engineer

 

Mission Tasks

To ensure the implementation of a Quality Management System onboard the vessels and its correct development, management, improvement and application, in coordination with the Management Functions onboard and the Corporate Quality Department. To ensure, when involved also in project activities, the correct application of the Project Quality Plan, the supervision/coordination of the quality control activities and the implementation of the relevant Quality Control Plans

 

Professional Skills

1. Develops and manages, in collaboration with Saipem Quality Department, the Quality Management System onboard, in compliance with applicable ISO Quality Standards, Quality Policies, applicable Standards and applicable company and corporate work instructions and standards. 2. Guarantees conformity of the Document System to the Company Documentation (Manuals, Procedures, Work Instructions). 3. Distributes Quality Documentation on site and ensures that the activities carried out are in compliance with the relevant issued documentation. 4. Provides other units responsibles, for analysing, defining and improving operating activities onboard and onboard processes, with the necessary feedback coming from the implementation of the Quality Management System. 5. Provides with the necessary feedback the Asset, Quality and Procurement Departments, in collaboration with the Management Functions onboard, regarding the performances of Suppliers and Sub-contractors operating on site. 6. Plans and implements internal Quality System auditing activities. 7. Supports the process owners for the definition of process indicators and relevant targets, monitoring their activity and promoting continuous improvement. 8. Trains relevant positions and new resources on quality matters. 9. Supports other functions onboard during third party authorities and/or internal audits as regards quality matters. Manages the Non Conformities and Observations raised during audits regarding quality and asset matters. 10. Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collects, manages and files the required Quality Records. 11. Cooperates in issuing, managing and analysing the Event Reports relevant to asset and quality findings. Ensures the implementation of the relevant corrective actions. 12. Participates to Investigation of Event happened on board. 13. Prepares a periodic KPI report, collecting the data available onboard, to be sent to the Company Quality Department for analysing and evaluating the quality and asset performances. 14. Monitors maintenance activites carried out onboard by internal and/or external personnel as regards Quality Control aspects. When also involved in project activities, supervises also the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts. He is involved in the Quality Control inspections scheduling and in the collection of Quality Records. 15. Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various operational areas when involved also in project activites. 16. Assesses the implementation and the distribution of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plan onboard, when involved also in project activities. 17. Ensures that the tests, controls and inspections are carried out and that personnel have access to all required documentation. Evaluates the qualifications of inspection personnel. Evaluates the qualifications of welders and Non Destructive Test-NDT technicians. 18. Ensures that all the measurement instruments are correctly managed and calibrated. Monitors the expiry date of the calibration certificates. 19. Informs the Management Functions onboard, Saipem Quality Department (and Project Quality Engineer if involved also in project activities) of any deviation/problems regarding the vessel. 20. Carry out his duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan.

 
 

Welding QC Inspector

 

Mission Tasks

Execute the field welding inspection, surveillance and Quality Control activities on site, collecting the relevant objective proofs, ensuring that all welding operations are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes of Practices and Company procedures/practices

 

Professional Skills

1. Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction /installation activities on site. 2. Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control-QC Supervisor non- conformances reports, verifying conformity of the work to specified Quality Requirements and ensuring that the inspections and controls are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality. 3. Controls welding parameters and consumables during installation/construction activities, supervising welding operations 4. Controls procedures and welders qualifications. 5. Checks the availability and suitability of the filler material and of the preheating, welding, heat treatment, the bevels, the extent of the repairs made by the various welders and taking any corrective actions, the heat treatment record diagrams. 6. Check and record pipe sequence. 7. Performs Pipes line up check, ensuring that all installed pipe/fittings are to the correct specification and that the material is in accordance with the specified Material Traceability requirements. 8. Carry out visual inspections. 9. Verifies collaboration/linearity. 10. Monitors defect removal by Magnetic Permeability Inspection (MPI). 11. Accepts Non Destructive Test-NDT inspection. 12. Checks readiness of NDT equipments. 13. Handle all welding technical queries and investigating 14. Ensure that all Welding, Heat Treatment, any hardness testing, Inspection and Non-destructive testing are in compliance with the relevant codes and specifications. 15. Orderly collect and manage/check documents certifying tests, controls and inspections documents, ensuring that all welding and testing related records form a complete package and reflect the ‘As Built’. 16. Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan by Construction Contractor. 17. Examins visually work in progress and effectivly supervises repair procedures. 18. Reviews welding requirements for field erected structures, vessels,tanks, boilers and other process plants.
