Mission Tasks

Carry out the Welding work in the planned times and costs, ensure the proper implementation of approved operating procedures, ensure observance of the project specifications, ensure that safety standards are respected, ensure that production quality and quantity standards are observed and issue the hand-over of completed works, carry out the welding qualification procedure and welder qualification tests when required, carry out the welders repairs or cosmetic weld toe adjustment in case of errors or defects, participate to pipe/plate fit up with the pipe fitting and spacer team, clean welds after each pass, Assignment will be offshore(Pipe-laying and Construction vessels)/Onshore Worldwide and Onshore laboratories in Italy and Croatia.

 

Professional Skills

Looking for experienced welders with the mandatory following requirements: minimum experience of 10 years as Welder, familiar with Manual Welding Process, familiar with GTAW (all position on pipe), familiar with SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding - all position on pipe), familiar with FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding - all position on pipe), familiar with the following materials: Carbon steel flowline and Riser, Stainless Steel flowline and Riser, Inconel (CLAD material) flowline and Riser, knowledge and evidence of capability to Line-up the pipe in First Welding Station.

The Welding Coordinator ( WCO) coordinates and optimizes the welding activities of the project through all its phases to reach the target quality and productivity

 

Professional Skills

The tasks and responsabilities of Welding Coordinator are the following: - Collect and analyse the technical welding specifications issued by the Oil /Gas Company and International Standards Bodies etc. (EN, ASME, API,BS,). - Issuing of technical query. - Preparation of budget for engineering welding activities - Issuing the welding cycle time. - Issuing the quantity of welding consumables. - Preparation of preliminary welding specifications. - Planning the welding activities. - Maintain constant contact with project team & Client. - Coordination of welding procedure qualification. - Issuing of final book inclusive of WPS'S and PQR'S. - Issuing method of statement for ECA if applicable. - Issuing mechanical test results for weld repair analysis. - Monitor lay barge progress to identify any eventual problem in terms of welding and NDT. - Preparation of close out reports. - Liase continuously with welding equipment/material suppliers regarding the latest developments in welding technologies. - Program and implement procedure/welder certification activities. - Assist the technical activities of welding R & D projects. - Review journal and technical papers for new welding technology.

The Welding Engineer is the person that follows Welding through all its aspects

 

Professional Skills

Prepare Welding procedures for assigned project; - Review clients' specifications and scopes of work, examine pipe metallurgy and prepare detailed Welding procedures to achieve maximum productivity in accordance with specified quality; - Administer systems for the qualification of weld procedures and welders; - Review subcontractors' tender documents and technical qualifications; - Assist QHSE Department on subcontractor assessments/audits; - Review and approve subcontractors' Welding submissions; - Ensure that records are maintained for all Welding activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirements; - Maintain departmental project Welding files so that information is readily available to other department members; - Liaise with the barge personnel and assist in optimising work methods and trouble shooting where and when required; - Monitor laybarge progress to identify opportunities for improvement; - Review journals and technical papers for new welding technology. Maintain contact with welding equipment suppliers and consumable vendors to promote advances in welding technology.
